Halfway there!

Incase you weren't aware, I'm working on a little project. A series of watercolor paintings, 11 x 14, and in "portrait" positioning.

I just counted and I'm up to 15 of these things already. I originally said I wanted to do 15 or 20 and then conclude it, but to be honest.....I'm thinking I want to do about 30 now. So that would mean I'm only halfway there and don't forget, this project was started on Valentines Day of this year (this will probably turn out to be a project that takes the better part of the year to complete!) Anyway, here's 3 of the newest to join the family. Enjoy.

I like this one. Was originally going to be a blackbird but then I OF COURSE had to throw in some extra color. I have no idea what breed of bird you would even consider this to be. Regardless, this was a fun one to do.

A lamp, dagger, and candle all wrapped up into one. This painting took quite some time to do. In fact, it took me a whole sitting JUST to get the composition of the line work just right. Something about the shade just works, I feel like.

Yeah I know, I don't usually use much blue but I figured a blue rose might contrast the red rose nicely. Fun painting to do for sure.

Stay tuned for the new additions, all I need is a few more sleepless nights and a few cartons of smokes and I'll be on my way.

Thanks for stopping by, baby.
